Academic Admission Courses
UBC, SFU and U of Toronto (starting in 2019) will no longer have an `approved`list of academic courses for admission.
UBC has said that any Grade 12 courses besides Career education, Phys Ed, and Applied Design/Skills/Technology courses will be considered as an academic course.
UVic still has a list of "approved" Academic 12 courses. See here: https://www.uvic.ca/future-students/undergraduate/admissions/high-school/bc-yt/approved-courses/index.php
For the online course to be used in the calculation of your average for admission, students must have 100% of the course completed by February 1.
SFU: all online courses to be completed by January 31st if they want to use the course in the calculation of their admission average.
For UBC and SFU, if you want your online course to be used as part of your admission courses, but don't need to include it to calculate your admission average, students will have until June 30th to complete the online course.
UVic: 50% of the online course needs to be complete by the time students self-report (between Feb 15th and April 30th). 100% of the course needs to be completed by May 31st.
